WHY ARE YOU CALLED THE "VINEYARD"?
There are several references in the Bible about Jesus being the vine and God's people being the vineyard. John 15:5 says, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit…" That is where our name comes from.  You can read more about the history of the Vineyard Churches on our WHO page.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF YOUR CHURCH?
God's mission through the Hyde Park Vineyard Church is to produce world changers and world changing churches, who are 100% devoted to Jesus and each other and others in this world.  And we express this mission in our everyday lives through:

CHRISTIAN LOVE
  our new ethic (Matthew 5-7)
KINGDOM WORK
  our true vocation (Matthew 9-10)
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
  our preparation for life (Matthew 13)
COMPASSIONATE ACTION
  our action in mercy and for justice (Matthew 25)

WHAT IF I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN?
Many of our friends in life and some who attend church services or events are undecided or unconvinced about Jesus Christ.  We believe that God has meaningful answers to your problems and questions.  He touches our lives in tangible and intangible ways.  We also believe that He has great plans for your life.  We would be honored to spend time with you formally or casually, and you can discover for yourself how real and active God is in our lives.  If you would like to learn how you can become a Christian, please click HERE.

HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?
Christians believe that Jesus was God's Son and that Jesus came to reconcile people back to God. This reconciliation to God comes through something we cannot do ourselves and something that we do in response to what has already been done for us.  Jesus once told a story that represents our circumstances, the response that the expectant heavenly Father is waiting for, and the glad reception that God has for us.  Click HERE to read more on how you can start a relationship with God.

HOW DO I JOIN THE VINEYARD?
There are two levels of membership at the Hyde Park Vineyard Church. We consider everyone who regularly attends the Hyde Park Vineyard Church to be a member and we welcome them to be involved in all church activities.  We do, however, have a formal membership that we call Vineyard Partners.  We ask all leaders and other committed members to consider becoming a Vineyard Partner.  If you are interested in finding out more about the church or  Vineyard Partners, there is a booklet located on the Sunday Morning Gathering information table.  You can also contact the church office and ask for a copy by clicking HERE.
