VINEYARD SUNDAY MORNING
The VSM meets every Sunday morning at 10:00AM at the Kenwood Academy, located on 5015 South Blackstone Avenue, Chicago, IL 60615 (corner of 51st and Lake Park). VSM is a time for our whole church community to gather for worship, fellowship, Bible teaching, and prayer ministry. At times, we hope that special music, drama, testimonies, video, art, and other media will enhance our worshiping and learning experiences. It is an opportunity to mingle and linger with people you are just getting to know and people you want to get to know more. Please click

When is the best time to arrive?
We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early that gives you plenty of time to park if you need to as well as get yourself some coffee or food before you head into the auditorium. We have coffee, donuts and bagels available every week before service.
Where do I go?
We meet at Kenwood Academy, a high school in Hyde Park. There are two entrances you can use, you can come in through the parking lot doors at 51st and Lake Park or walk up Blackstone towards 50th and use the doors by the flagpole. The parking lot entrance is located on the east side of the campus and is accessible from Lake Park only.
You can also park
along Blackstone Ave on the west side of the building.
Once inside there will be signs and people to direct you towards our meeting area.
What should I wear?
We are pretty casual on Sunday, wear whatever you feel comfortable worshiping in as long as it is appropriate. Be advised though sometimes the auditorium gets a little chilly.
What should I bring?
If you have a Bible, feel free to bring it. We do also have copies you can use during the service if you want to.
What happens during the worship service?
Every Sunday our service has four important components.
WORSHIP
We’ll begin with a time of worship. Worship is just one of the ways that we express our love for God through music and song. Feel free to sit, stand, sing or just pray during this time. We value diversity in worship styles, please worship in the way you feel comfortable.
OFFERING
Part of our worship is giving back to the Lord out of the abundance that He has given to us. We believe that offering is an act of worship. We ask that member give abundantly and sacrificially, if you are visiting us to today please do not feel obligated to give.
TEACHING
This is the time in our service where we hear a teaching from the Bible that is relevant and practical for our everyday lives.
COMMUNION
We take the Holy Communion on a weekly basis. This is the time when we take the bread and the wine (grape juice) in remembrance of Jesus. Communion is open to all who love and follow Jesus.
What do you have available for children?
Our children’s ministry, VineKidz, is available for children 0-11 years old. 0-8 month olds & their parents are welcome to use the nursery at any point during the service. The nursery, or cry room, is equipped with feeding stations and audio of the service. 9-30 month olds are welcome to arrive at the Toddler VineKidz at 9:50. 2 ½- 4 year olds and 5-11 year olds will be dismissed after the second worship song. All children participate in worship and teaching times. You can pick them up at their classrooms promptly after the service.
How long does the service last?
The service lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
What about after the service?
Once the service ends what you do is up to you. Feel free get some more coffee and chat with some members of our congregation or staff. We would love it if you would come by our Welcome table to fill out a connection card and help yourself to a free gift while you are there.
