Do you have a busy schedule
during the week, but would love to serve the church?
Are you simply willing to help
out the church body in a much needed capacity?
Are you looking to get involved
and meet new people?
If so, please consider
joining our Setup or Tech Teams. Here are the details:
SETUP
TEAM
The Setup Teams are responsible for the overall setup of our Sunday
morning meeting room. Since we don't have a church building, we have
to setup every Sunday and prepare a room for our services.
DETAILS
• Serve on a team of 6-7 people once a month
• Commit to serve from June through October
• Flexible schedule, switching weeks is easy
• Arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes before service (8:45am)
• Leave 30 minutes after service (11:30am)
TASKS
• Setup outdoor signs
• Coffee and snack tables
• Communion
• Welcome table
• Directional interior signs
• Handout bulletins at the door
• Help put away chairs
Worried that you can't do
some of the tasks? No sweat - there's something for everyone when
the tasks are divided up. There will also be an orientation in mid
June for those who are new. This will also serve as a refresher for
those who are returning to the teams.

TECH
TEAM
Are you the kind of person
who can figure out how set up and use electronic stuff like your home
audio system, your friend’s DVD player, a computer, etc.?
If so, you probably have the right stuff for SMG Tech Team!
DETAILS
• Join a team of 8 people, each scheduled to serve once a month
• Commit through December
• Flexibility to switch with others on team if your schedule changes
• Arrive 1 hour & 45 minutes before service (8:15am).
• Leave 30 minutes after service (11:30am)
TASKS
• Two Tech Team members scheduled per Sunday, one responsible for sound,
the other for computer/projector and lights
• Before the Service:
o Help set up sound system (with the Worship Team)
o Set up lights
o Set up computer and projector
• During the Service:
o Run sound system
o Run computer — make sure the right things are projected at the right
times
o Run lights (usually they just stay on the whole time)
Sound like a lot? Don’t know how to do any of it? No sweat — we will
provide all the training you need, and we promise we won’t leave you to do
it on your own until you’re ready. We’ve found that two trained people per
Sunday can easily handle it.
There will be an orientation session in June for everyone on the team, and
then on-the-job training with experienced tech people present to help you
through it until you’re ready to do it on your own.
Please prayerfully consider serving the church in this way for a season.
